Wednesday’s class started as usual with the doubt solving session. Shivani had a doubt regarding the use of ‘negativ artikel’ kein and the ‘artikelwörter’ kein.
To clarify this, Abhiraj asked us the difference between the two. The point is that there is no difference between the two!
Eg – Kein ventilator funktioniert nicht.
Here, kein substitutes the artikel ein. So whatever happens to the artikel, the same changes are seen in the artikelwörter. So we just have to check which artikel is being replaced by the artikelwörter and make changes accordingly.
Moving on, we started with a new topic related to the nebensätze, Feste verbindungen, i.e., verbs with fixed prepositions. The concept behind this is – some verbs have a fixed preposition associated with them. These prepositions are called präpositionale ergänzungen. Here, the verbs take charge of the sentence and the preposition along with the noun become the requirement of the sentence (präpositionale ergänzung) instead of the extra information (präpositionale angabe).
Note – The akkusativ, dativ and genitiv präposition when used as festen präposition, retain their meaning and their respective cases.
But when wechsel präposition are used as festen präposition, they do not retain their cases and have no connection with wo oder wohin. The präposition will take the case dependent on each unique case of the Feste verbindungen.
To start with, these are a few verbs which have a fixed preposition –
- auf jn / etw(A) warten
Ich warte auf dich am bahnhof.
warte – verb
Ich – Subjekt
am bahnhof – präpositionale angabe (lokal)
auf dich – präpositionale ergänzung
2. an jn / etw(A) denken
Ich denke oft an den Urlaub.
3. über etw / etw(A) nach/denken
Wir denken über eine Aktivität für unsere unterricht nach.
4. sich fur jn / etw(A) interessieren
Ich interessiere mich für politik nicht.
5. sich auf jn / etw(A) freuen
Kinder freuen sich auf weihnachten.
6. sich über jn / etw(A) freuen
Ich freue mich über die tatsache, dass ich den Blog am Wochenende geschrieben.
7. in jn / etw(A) verliebt sein
Ich bin in die Natur verliebt.
8. auf jn / etw(A) achten
Bitte achte auf den neuen mantel.
9. mit jm über etw(A) sprechen
Wir sprechen über den Film “Yes Boss”.
10. jm für etw(A) danken
Ich danke dir für deine Hilfe.
11. jm zu etw(D) gratulieren
Ich gratuliere dir zu deiner Hochzeit.
